‘Eco-friendly’ Chungnam Asan FC collects bottle caps and donates them to an upcycling organization

Chungnam Asan conducts an environmental campaign to collect plastic bottle caps and donate them to environmental organizations.

On the 18th, Chungnam Asan Professional Football Club (owner Park Kyung-gui, hereinafter referred to as Chungnam Asan) made its first donation of plastic bottle caps to the Gwangdeoksan Environmental Education Center located in Cheonan, Chungcheongnam-do.

Since July, Chungnam Asan has been promoting the ‘Bottle Cap Collection Challenge’ campaign for home game spectators to protect the local environment and move toward a sustainable resource recycling society.

Through this campaign, a total of 3045 plastic bottle caps weighing 6 kilograms were collected from 104 people over the course of three games. To use them as resources for upcycling, we donated them to the ‘Mole Mill’ at the Gwangdeoksan Environmental Education Center in Cheonan.

The Mole Mill, operated by the Gwangdeoksan Environmental Education Center, is a natural cycle project that collects small plastics such as bottle caps that are discarded without being recycled to make upcycled products (products that add value to recyclables by adding design or utilization).

The donated bottle caps are sorted, cleaned, and injection molded into toothbrush holders, toothpaste squeezers, key rings, and more. The items will be given away to fans at future home games through events. 바카라사이트

“Collecting bottle caps made us realize how much plastic we use and throw away. We will continue to work together to provide fans with new experiences and increase their interest in saving various resources and carbon neutrality.”

Meanwhile, Chungnam Asan will host Ansan in the 27th round of the ‘Hana OneQ K League 2 2023’ at Ansan Wah~ Stadium at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 19.
