Lotte Giants catcher Lee Jung-geun has been moved to a nearby hospital after being substituted due to a sore right hamstring.
Lee started in the No. 7 spot in the lineup against Samsung on Sunday at Samsung Lions Park in Daegu. He led off the fourth inning with a single up the middle against Samsung starter Taylor Widener.
After running to third on a deflected hit by Lee Hak-joo at second base, he felt pain in his right hamstring and was replaced by pinch-hitter Son Sung-bin. “After the substitution, Lee will be traveling to Gyeongsan Semyung Hospital for a checkup,” a club official said.
Lotte, meanwhile, led 7-2 at the end of the fourth inning. Lotte scored the first run in the first inning on a leadoff single by Jeon Jun-woo. Ahn Chi-hong’s two-run arch to left-center field in the third, followed by a wild pitch and Ahn’s three-run homer to left field in the fourth, made it 7-0. 안전놀이터
