‘Hat-trick’ Martin Adam: “Four goals, one disallowed by the referee…I got the ball signed”

“Scoring goals is important, but winning is more important,” said Martin Adam, who scored his first hat-trick since joining Ulsan.

Ulsan Hyundai won 3-1 against Pathum Thani (Thailand) in the first leg of their 2023/24 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League (ACL) group stage match at Munsu Stadium in Ulsan, South Korea on Monday.

Ulsan, who won the K League 1 title last season, will be looking to win a third consecutive ACL title this season and will face Patum, Johor Bahru (Malaysia) and Kawasaki Frontale (Japan) in the group stage to determine their place in the next round.

Martin Adam started the match up top and gave his side the lead in the 28th minute, before completing his hat-trick with back-to-back goals in the 28th and 33rd minutes of the second half when Ulsan needed a goal to make it 1-1.

“In the first half, we were generally slow and didn’t play well, but in the second half, our quick passing and aggressive movement helped us win the game,” Martin Adam told reporters after the match.

On his hat-trick, he added: “I’m very happy. It’s important to score goals, but it’s more important to win. It’s my first hat-trick in Ulsan, but I’ve scored three hat-tricks in total in Hungary.”

Martin Adam rattled the net for the third time in the match in the 30th minute after receiving a cross from the center of the penalty box, but the goal was disallowed by the referee for a foul. He then scored again in the 33rd minute to complete his hat-trick. 온라인바카라

“I think it was four goals, but the referee disallowed it,” said Martin Adam. I’m not sure what the problem is,” he said.

“I think we can expect more from him in the next game because he scored a goal today,” he said.

Martin Adam, who said he was “very happy” to play in the ACL for the first time and score a hat trick in his ACL debut, said, “I think every game is the same, even though the ACL and the league are a little different. “I think we are a lower quality team than our opponents today, but I think there are teams that are better than us,” he said.

“It feels great to score a hat-trick today and I even got the whole squad’s autograph. Now I’m going to take the ball back to my home country, Hungary,” he concluded.
